About Us
At Prana Play, we believe every child deserves a place to shine — and every parent deserves a moment to breathe.
Founded by Kay Anderson, a mother, cancer survivor, and seasoned healthcare leader, Prana Play was inspired by her journey raising neurodiverse children while balancing life’s biggest challenges.
The Story Behind Prana Play
Inspired by my Autistic Daughter
A week in my life…
- Exhaustion is constant. The week is a cycle of therapy sessions, advocacy, and managing sensory needs.
- Judgement and stigma everywhere. Most don’t get it.
- Simple accommodation is a real struggle. Sensory overload is everywhere— restaurants impossible, existing play places just don’t work for my family.
- Balancing all my children’s needs feels impossible. The constant trade off heartbreaking. Guilt is overwhelming.
- What works for one overwhelms the other. I feel like I’m failing both of them.
- I just need a break. But where can we go where all our needs are met—where I don’t have to choose, explain, or advocate?

Our Mission
Create a sensory-friendly, judgment-free community where people of all abilities can explore, play, and grow — and parents feel seen, supported, and restored.
Our Values
Our commitment goes beyond play and therapy; it is rooted in equity, compassion, and the belief that every person deserves dignity and joy.
Neurodiverse Affirming
We proudly hire and support neurodiverse employees, because we know the strength of a community comes from the diversity of its people. Our team reflects the values we hold: empathy, creativity, and a deep respect for the unique ways each mind works.
