"A place of joy, inclusion, and purpose."
Prana Play is more than just a play space — it's a transformative environment designed to support all families, especially neurodiverse families, by offering a place where children can play, learn, strengthen their skills, and feel truly accepted. Our mission is rooted in harmony and peace — empowering children, enabling parents, and creating balance, joy, and connection for the entire family.
We seek individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of neurodiverse children and their families. Whether you are a therapist, educator, play specialist, or someone who values diverse ways of thinking and moving, you will join a team committed to empathy, inclusion, and innovative child support. By working here, you become part of a movement redefining family-centered care, promoting acceptance, and helping each child reach their fullest potential.
The Sensory Play Associate creates a safe, joyful, and inclusive play environment where children can explore freely while caregivers find moments of rest. This role requires proactive, respectful, neurodiversity-affirming engagement that honors each child's autonomy, communication style, and sensory needs.
It's ideal for individuals with experience working with neurodiverse children, or lived experience such as a neurodivergent sibling or family member. This role is great for people who love:
Part-time, after-school, and weekend hours available.

Our core purpose: proactively engage in play with the kids so that parents and caregivers can relax and recharge. Engagement is always child-led, optional, and respectful.
Proactively invite children into play to give caregivers a break — building magnetic-tile garages, taking an order at the pretend café, or heading down the slide together. Always ask the child and parent before touching or guiding, support only as needed, and never pressure participation. Follow neurodiversity-affirming communication practices.
Make sure the play rules are being followed and politely remind children when they aren't, redirecting calmly with respectful verbal and nonverbal cues — and always following up with a warm "thank you for listening."
Reset toys and play areas when they're not in active use — returning animals to the vet clinic, restocking the play fridge, and sorting magnetic tiles — to keep spaces calm and organized and reduce sensory overload. (This supports the role; play always comes first.)
Warmly greet families at check-in, confirm online bookings (or assist with waivers and payment), remind families to remove shoes and review the play rules, and provide friendly point-of-sale and café support — keeping the station clean and welcoming.
Tell us a little about yourself and why this role speaks to you. We'd love to hear from you.
